Covid Virus Cartoon

Post Pandemic

What else can we call it? The stuff we are doing after the COVID-19 run.

Following the Provincial Guidelines

First off we are following the provincial guidelines and we know our families will do the same. They are all smart, responsible and reasonable people. So we don’t feel need to repeat the stuff that has been repeated so many times already and from so many sources.

If you are bringing a child, the ideal thing would be to drop them off for their lesson and come back. We get that it might not be ideal and that maybe your child is too young to do that so, 1 parent sitting in on the lesson is fine. For older students, teens and adult students, it would be best if they came to the school alone. In either case it is preferred that you do not come too early.
We have always been a clean place and have upped our game. The waiting area is disinfected between uses, the pianos, music stands and contact points are disinfected between students and the whole place gets wiped down with bleach based cleaners at the start of each day.
All our teachers and staff, long before this, were aware that kids carry germs and viruses and maybe don’t practice the best protocols that adults do. Every piano teacher ever has cleaned their piano after some kid has played it long before this.

Everyone Knows What 6 Feet is By Now

I am pretty sure everyone in the world knows what 2 meters looks like and our studios are large enough to accommodate that.
As far as mask wearing, if the authorities say we have to, we have to. If they say we don’t then they are optional. Since they seem to change the rules regularly, randomly and without data or consultation , we can’t administer a permanent policy.

Lastly:

While most people are gladly taking the in-person lessons as outlined above, we do still offer the video lesson.
The video lesson is not just for corona concerns but for the right student and situation, it can be a convenience.
